SYMPTOMSIf you download and install the File Conversion Wizard (FILECONV.XLA) in Microsoft Excel 5.x, and you attempt to open files saved on a server, you may receive the following error message:
This file is password protected. Enter the Password.This error message may occur for every file saved on the server even though the files are not protected.
WORKAROUNDEither copy the files locally or run the File Conversion Wizard on a system running Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, which correctly converts files saved on a server.
