The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

With some video cards, the "Animate Insertion and Deletion" option is automatically disabled.

CAUSE

On systems with slower video cards, the animation option is turned off.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

Animation occurs within Microsoft Excel when inserting or deleting rows, columns, or selected cells. The rows or columns visibly move down or to the right, respectively.

For more information about the animation option, on the Tools menu, click Options, click the Edit tab, click "Animate Insertion and Deletion," and then press F1.
