SYMPTOMSWhen you are using Microsoft Query version 1.0 and the Paradox 4.x ODBC driver version 2.00.2317, you may receive the following error message:
Couldn't Decrypt File. When you are using Microsoft Query version 2.0 and the Paradox 4.x ODBC driver version 3.00.2111, you may receive the following error message:
Can't access table '<path>\table.db'. CAUSEUsing Microsoft Query, you may be unable to access Paradox 4.x tables that are password protected.
WORKAROUNDTo workaround this problem so that the table can be used in Microsoft Query, remove the password protection from the table. There are also alternative methods that will allow you to access the data without using Microsoft Query. For example, you can successfully access password-protected Paradox 4.x tables with Microsoft Excel macros that use either data access objects (DAO) or the Xlodbc.xla functions.
