The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you save a document based on any of the templates that are stored in the Valupack\Template\Excel folder on the Microsoft Office 97 compact disc, you may receive the following alert message:
'<Template Name>' was created in a previous version of Microsoft Excel. Do you want to update it to the new format?where <Template Name> is the name of the template you are using. If you click Yes, the file is saved in the Microsoft Excel 97 file format.
CAUSEThis behavior occurs because the templates in the Valupack\Template\Excel folder on the Microsoft Office compact disc are not in the Microsoft Excel 97 file format; they are in the Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 file format.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, save the templates in the Microsoft Excel 97 file format before you use them. The following steps show you how to open the Loan.xlt file and save it in Microsoft Excel 97 format.
REFERENCESFor more information about templates, click the Index tab in Microsoft Excel Help, type the following text
templatesand then double-click the selected text to go to the "Guidelines for storing templates" topic.
