SBFM97: Restore Wizard Values Does Not Recalculate Worksheet

SYMPTOMS

When you change values in the Lease Analysis of a What-If Scenario, and then click Restore Wizard Values, Microsoft Excel may not completely recalculate values in the worksheet.

CAUSE

The behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:

  • You click What-If Wizard on the Accounting menu and perform a Buy vs. Lease analysis.

        -and-
    
  • You change any of the following data options on the worksheet:

          Number of Months Asset Held
          Estimated Resale Value
          Opportunity Cost of Capital
          Depreciation Rate
    

         -and-
    
  • You click Restore Wizard Values.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, force the worksheet to fully recalculate values by pressing F9.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
