XL: Certain Trendlines in Charts May Appear DistortedLast reviewed: February 12, 1998Article ID: Q166672 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you use a chart that contains a trendline (polynomial or logarithmic) and you format the trendline to use a dashed line, the trendline may appear distorted.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, do not change the line style for the trendline in your chart. The default line style, which is a continuous line, does not appear distorted when you use it. If you already changed the line style for the trendline in your chart, change the line style to a continuous line (instead of the dashed line). NOTE: Changing the line weight has no effect on this problem.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
