SYMPTOMSWhen you open a Microsoft Excel 97 worksheet in your Internet browser and click a macro button, you may receive the following error message:
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.If you click Details, receive the following message:
EXCEL has caused an invalid page fault in module EXCEL.EXE at 0137:3047ad12.If you click Close, Microsoft Excel shuts down, and your Internet browser does not refresh correctly or stops responding.
CAUSEThis problem occurs when you do the following:

MORE INFORMATIONThe Spreadsheet Solutions templates are sample files that can be used in Microsoft Excel 97. The templates are installed with Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Office and are provided as sample solutions for common business needs, such as expenses statements, invoices, and purchase orders. These templates contain macros that are run from buttons on the worksheets. However, when you are viewing one of the templates within Microsoft Internet Explorer or your Internet browser and click a macro button, you receive the error message mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
