SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 97, if you click Cut Cells on the Insert menu, the window from which you cut the cells may disappear from the screen or become nonresponsive. If you click Unhide on the Window menu, the window is not listed as a hidden window.
CAUSEThis problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, exit group edit mode before you cut and insert cells from one workbook to another. To do this, use the following steps:
If the problem already occurred, you must close the invisible or unresponsive workbook. To do this, use the following steps:
