SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Internet Assistant Wizard in Microsoft Excel 97, some Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) files may appear to be missing.
CAUSEThis problem occurs when you use the Internet Assistant Wizard to:
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1If you want to insert converted data into an existing HTML file, follow these steps:
NOTE: The Files Of Type list does not include All Files.
Method 2If you want to create an independent HTML file with an existing file name (by replacing the existing file), follow these steps:
NOTE: The Save As Type list does not include All Files.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
