SYMPTOMSMicrosoft Excel 97 stops calculating formulas in a workbook even though you are using automatic calculation. Microsoft Excel 97 fails to resume calculating formulas after a few seconds of inactivity.
CAUSEThis problem may occur when you perform one of the following actions while Microsoft Excel is recalculating formulas:
RESOLUTIONTo correct this problem, install Microsoft Excel 97 Service Release 1 (SR-1). To work around this problem, press F9 and resume calculation.
