The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 97, after you change a control in a workbook and save the workbook, the changes you made to the control are not saved.
CAUSEThis problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, verify that the workbook you are referencing is open when you double-click the linked object.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
