The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you copy a chart in a Microsoft Excel 97 worksheet, and then paste the chart into a Microsoft Word 97 document, the chart may change size in Excel.
CAUSEThis problem occurs if you set the Excel worksheet to a zoom level other than 100 percent (100%).
RESOLUTIONTo restore the chart to the correct size, click the worksheet in Excel that contains the chart, or click the name of the worksheet on the Window menu.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATIONWhen you zoom a worksheet in Excel, the actual size of objects contained in the worksheet does not change; only the displayed size changes. Therefore, if you copy a chart contained in a zoomed worksheet and then paste the chart into Word, the pasted chart is displayed at the zoom level of Word. This behavior is by design. For more information about problems copying charts in zoomed worksheets, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
