SYMPTOMSWhen you use "Anova: Two-Factor Without Replication" in the Data Analysis tools, you may receive the following error message:
Anova: Two-Factor Without Replication - Input range contains non-numeric data CAUSEThis problem occurs when the input range contains either empty cells or text.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, enter a value of zero (0) into the empty cells in the input range. This has no significant effect on the variation of the data.
MORE INFORMATIONThis behavior differs from earlier versions of Excel. Microsoft Excel versions 5.0 and 7.0 allow empty cells in the input range. The Anova analysis tool in Excel 97 does not work unless you remove the empty cells in the input range or replace them with values.
