The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you print a worksheet that contains a colored line to a black and white printer, the line may be printed as a gray pattern; in earlier versions of Excel the line is printed as a black line.
CAUSEExcel 97 prints colored lines as grayscale lines to distinguish between black lines and colored lines.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, do either of the following:
STATUSThis behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 97.
