The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you press the shortcut key in Microsoft Excel for Windows (CRTL+1) or in Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh (COMMAND+1) for the Format Cells dialog box, the Format Cells dialog box may not appear.
CAUSEThis problem occurs if you use the number 1 on the numeric keypad when you press the shortcut key.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
