SYMPTOMSWhen you click Help On The Web or Online Registration on the Help menu, nothing happens.
CAUSEThis problem occurs when a Web browser is not installed on your computer.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
MORE INFORMATIONWhen a Web browser is installed on your computer, clicking Help On The Web on the Help menu opens a HyperText Markup Language (HTML) document named WebHelp.htm, which is located in the Microsoft Office 98:Office:Help folder on your hard disk. WebHelp.htm contains links to support resources that are located on the Microsoft Web site. Clicking Online Registration on the Help menu opens an HTML file named Register.htm, which links to a Web site that allows you to register Microsoft Office.
