SYMPTOMSWhen you try to hide columns of data in Microsoft Excel, you may receive the following error message:
Cannot shift objects off sheet. CAUSEThis problem occurs if both of the following conditions are true:
NOTE: Depending on the location of the column that contains the cell comment, you receive the error message if you try to hide the column that contains the cell comment and all the columns to the right of the column that contains the cell comment.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, follow these steps:
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
