XL98: Toolbar Is Not Docked When You Double-Click Its Title BarLast reviewed: February 5, 1998Article ID: Q180449 |
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, if you double-click the title bar of an undocked (floating) toolbar, the toolbar is not automatically docked to the edge of the screen.
CAUSEThis behavior occurs when you use a Macintosh system feature called WindowShade (or "collapsing windows"). This feature causes the toolbar to collapse into a title bar when you double-click the title bar of a toolbar in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition. However, if you disable this feature, either by turning off the WindowShade extension or by clearing the "Double-click title bar to collapse" check box in the Appearance control panel, nothing happens when you double-click the title bar of a toolbar in Microsoft Excel 98.
STATUSThis behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 98.
MORE INFORMATIONYou can undock a toolbar in Microsoft Excel by following these steps:
In Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 5.0, and in Microsoft Excel for Windows, if you double-click the title bar of a floating toolbar, the toolbar is automatically docked in its original location. This functionality is not available in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
