SUMMARYIn Microsoft Excel, number signs (#) will appear in a cell if the column is not wide enough to display the value. To display the value correctly, widen the column. Note: If a column is formatted to fewer than 1.1 "screen units," cells in that column appear blank when numeric data is entered.
