Article ID: Q24333

SUMMARY

The values displayed on an axis in Microsoft Excel can be reversed. For example, if the value axis displays 0 at the bottom and 10 at the top, the values can be reversed to display 10 at the bottom and 0 at the top.

To reverse the order of values on an axis, do the following:

  1. Click on the axis to be reordered. Two white squares will appear at each end of the axis to indicate that it is selected.

  2. From the Format menu, choose Scale if you are using Excel version 3.00 or 2.20. If you are using Excel version 1.50 or earlier, choose Axis from the Format menu.

  3. Select the check box labeled "Values in Reverse Order".
