Excel: Copy Picture Without Row/Column Headings and Gridlines

SUMMARY

Microsoft Excel will copy a spreadsheet as a graphic based on the options specified in the Display dialog box under the Options menu. For example, to copy a section of an Excel spreadsheet as a graphic without including row and column headings, do the following:

  1. From the Options menu, choose Display.

  2. Deselect the Row and Column Headings option.

  3. Click OK.

  4. Select the area to be copied.

  5. Hold down the SHIFT key and choose Copy Picture from the Edit menu.

The same technique can be used to copy an area without gridlines. To do this, deselect the Gridlines option in the Display dialog box before copying the area as a picture.
