Excel: Showing a Column After Setting Column Width to Zero

SUMMARY

To select and show a column where the width has been set to zero, do the following:

  1. Choose Goto from the Formula menu.

  2. Enter a cell from the hidden column in the reference box.

  3. Choose Column Width from the Format menu.

  4. Type in a new column width or select Standard Width. Click OK.

The following procedure may also be used to widen a column you have selected:

  1. Select the columns to the left and to the right of the hidden column.

  2. Choose Column Width from the Format menu.

  3. Enter a new column width or select Standard Width. Click OK.
