Excel Err Msg: Can't Shift Non-Blank Cells off Sheet

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, the error "Can't shift non-blank cell(s) off sheet" occurs while you are trying to insert a cell, row, or column when there is information in the last row or column (row 16,384 or column IV [256]).

To insert a row (or a cell when shifting cells down), select row 16,384, choose Clear from the Edit menu, and click OK.

To insert a column (or a cell when shifting cells right), select column IV (256), choose Clear from the Edit menu, and click OK.
