Decimal Numbers Imported from dBASE Are Rounded

SYMPTOMS

When a decimal number is read in from dBASE to Microsoft Excel, that number is rounded to an integer.

CAUSE

This occurs when the numbers are formatted with "general" formatting in dBASE.

WORKAROUND

For the numbers to appear as decimals in Microsoft Excel, choose one of the decimal formats within dBASE.
