  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, versions 2.2, 3.0, 4.0

SUMMARY

Microsoft Excel versions 2.20, 3.00 and 4.00 allow you to lock a window's characteristics (for example, its size, position, and hidden/unhidden state), as well as its contents. If a window's characteristics are locked, it will not be resized using the Arrange All command. Locked windows remain the same size and in the same position, and the unlocked windows will be resized as if the locked window is not open.

For more information about locking a window's characteristics, see "Protecting Documents and Windows" on pages 84-90 in the "Microsoft Excel User's Guide 1," version 4.0 manual. If you are using version 3.00, see pages 556-562 in the "Microsoft Excel User's Guide" version 3.0 manual. If you are using Excel 2.20, see "Options Protect Document" on pages 525-526 of the "Microsoft Excel Reference" version 2.2 manual.
