SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, a brief pause occurs before switching to another application under MultiFinder. Microsoft Excel uses this time to render RTF (rich text formatting) to the Clipboard. RTF allows formatting, along with the copied values, to be pasted into applications that read RTF (for example, Microsoft Word).

The time necessary to convert the Clipboard contents depends on the amount of information copied before switching. For example, if an entire column has been copied, you may experience a significant delay (one to five minutes or more).
