Q+E's Allow Editing Option Is Disabled for All Files

SUMMARY

Q+E has an option during setup to install the program as read only. If you open a file and the Allow Editing option is grayed (disabled), Q+E has been installed as read only.

To enable the Allow Editing option, you must reinstall Q+E without the read-only option.

If you are using Q+E from a network, Allow Editing becomes disabled if the files are stored in a read-only directory. To test Q+E for read-only installation, open a file from a drive known to have read/write privileges and check the Allow Editing option. If it is not grayed, then Q+E is not read-only installed, but the network directory is flagged read-only.
