Q+E Supports Both dBASE IV SQL and ANSI SQL

SUMMARY

With Q+E you have the choice between using the dBASE IV implementation of SQL or the ANSI implementation. Q+E defaults to the dBASE IV version. If you prefer to use the ANSI, you need to add the following line to the WIN.INI file below the [Q+E] heading:

   compatibility=ANSI

Q+E cannot add the heading [Q+E] to the WIN.INI file, so you must enter this manually prior to adding the line.

If you want to switch back to the dBASE IV implementation, you can modify the WIN.INI line to read as follows:

   compatibility=dBASE

For more information on the differences between the two implementations, refer to Pages 84-86 of the "Q+E User's Guide."
