Excel: Maximum Window Sizes Different in 1.50, 2.20Last reviewed: October 31, 1994Article ID: Q48181 |
SUMMARYIn Microsoft Excel versions 1.50 and earlier, windows can be sized larger than the screen size simply by dragging the size box or by using the SIZE function. In Excel version 2.20, the window size cannot exceed the size of the monitor. This difference occurs because Excel 2.20 bases the size of the window on the size of the monitor of the computer being used. The maximum size on a Macintosh Plus, SE, or SE/30 monitor is 512 points by 340 points. The maximum size of the Macintosh II, IIx, or IIcx with standard Apple equipment is 640 points by 480 points.
