SUMMARYMicrosoft Excel versions 1.50 and earlier mark unlocked cells with a dotted underline when a protected document is printed. Excel 2.20, by design, does not print unlocked cells of a protected document with an underline. To obtain a similar effect with Excel 2.20 and 3.00, apply a bottom border to the cells using the following steps (the document must be unprotected to perform this operation):
