Exporting Excel Files to MacPaint

To export charts from Excel to MacPaint, do the following:

  1. Select the chart by choosing it in Excel.

  2. In Excel 1.50, choose Copy Chart from the Edit menu. In Excel 2.20, hold down the SHIFT key and choose Copy Picture from the Edit menu.

  3. Paste the chart into MacPaint.

Note: Copying a chart using Copy Picture in Excel 2.20 is equivalent to choosing Copy Chart in Excel 1.50.

By holding down the SHIFT key while choosing Copy Picture from the Edit menu, you can copy a chart or section of a worksheet as a graphic to the Clipboard. A dialog box will appear with the options to copy the picture as it is shown on the screen or as it appears when it is printed.
