Excel: ON.KEY Function Docerr in Functions and Macros ManualLast reviewed: November 2, 1994Article ID: Q60944 |
SUMMARYPage 252 of the "Microsoft Excel Functions and Macros" version 2.2 manual incorrectly states that "=ON.KEY("+^{RIGHT}","PAYROLL!Print")" allows the macro "PAYROLL!Print" to be run using the command sequence SHIFT+COMMAND+RIGHT ARROW. To correctly use the key sequence SHIFT+COMMAND+RIGHT ARROW to run the macro PAYROLL!Print, use the following formula:
=ON.KEY("+*{RIGHT}","PAYROLL!Print")The caret (^) in the incorrect formula defines the CTRL key, while the asterisk (*) in the correct formula defines the COMMAND key. (This key code information is correctly listed on page 309 of the "Microsoft Excel Functions and Macros" version 2.2 manual.) For more information on key codes, see Appendix B (pages 307-309) of the "Microsoft Excel Functions and Macros" version 2.2 manual.
