SUMMARYThe message "Save Changes in 'filename'?" may appear in Microsoft Excel when no apparent changes have been made in a worksheet. This may happen when a function, such as NOW or RAND, or an iterative formula is present in the worksheet. Because functions of this type update every time the worksheet is recalculated or opened, Excel sees this as a change and prompts you to save.
