No Automatic Close for an Excel WorkspaceLast reviewed: November 4, 1994Article ID: Q62722 |
SUMMARYThere is no way to automatically close a workspace group of files in Excel and save any changes to the workspace. Excel will automatically open all the files in a workspace, but to close the workspace, each file must be closed individually. A workspace file lists the names of documents that are open in the workspace when the workspace file is saved and lists the size and position of the open documents. A workspace file is actually a list of documents, not the documents themselves. You can instruct Excel to close all of the open documents by pressing SHIFT+ALT and choosing Close All from the File menu. This key combination will not save changes to the workspace.
