Excel: INPUT "Default" Argument Does Not Center Dialog BoxLast reviewed: November 2, 1994Article ID: Q64349 |
SUMMARYThe "Microsoft Excel Functions and Macros" manual incorrectly states on page 245 that the "default" argument in the INPUT function causes the INPUT dialog box to be centered if the "default" argument is omitted or is a 0 (zero). This information is incorrect. The "default" argument has no bearing on the positioning of the dialog box; rather, it shows information that will, by default, always appear in the edit box when the INPUT function is executed. The "x_pos" and "y_pos" arguments control the dialog box position in the INPUT command. If the "x_pos" and/or "y_pos" arguments are omitted or are 0 (zero), the dialog box is centered horizontally and/or vertically, respectively.
