Working with International MacrosLast reviewed: November 3, 1994Article ID: Q69530 |
SUMMARYThe International format is a sheet attribute; one macro sheet cannot contain Standard and International macros at the same time. International Macros can be identified by [Int'l] in the title bar. They cannot be open or run in previous versions of Excel. Add-in macro sheets that work with international versions of Excel can be created by choosing the Save As command from the File menu and selecting the Int'l. Add-In option. To aid editing, Excel displays and uses U.S. defaults when an International Macro is the active sheet. For example, the Format Number dialog box shows the U.S. number formats, and the Paste Function dialog box shows the English function names. When the active sheet is a sheet other than the International macro, Excel will use and display local language defaults. For more information about the International Macro feature, query on the word "intmac" (without the quotation marks).
