SUMMARYIf you highlight a range of titles that were copied from the database titles and select Extract from the Data menu, you may get the error message:
Extract range is invalid Solution
MORE INFORMATIONThis error occurs when an extract range has been set and the cells that the extract range refers to do not contain valid titles. Excel is attempting to perform the data extract somewhere else on the Worksheet, rather than using the cells you have selected. Another way to verify this is to choose Goto from the Formula menu. If the name "Extract" appears, select it and press OK. This should select the range that is defined as the name "Extract". When you choose Extract from the Data menu, Excel first looks to the list of defined names in a worksheet to see if the name "Extract" has been defined. If it does not find this defined name, it defaults to the currently selected area. By deleting this name, you will be forcing Excel to use the area you have selected for the Extract range.
