Computed Criteria Example in Q+E Manual Is IncorrectLast reviewed: November 2, 1994Article ID: Q70477 |
SUMMARYPage 64 of the "Q+E for Microsoft Excel User's Guide" for version 3.00 has an incorrect example for using a computed criteria with a Microsoft Excel database. If you enter your criteria range exactly as it is in the manual, you will not receive any records when you attempt to extract.
MORE INFORMATIONInserting an equal sign into cell A2 will allow this example to work correctly. The criteria range should read:
A1: Date Hired A2: =HIRE_DATE < NEW() - 30Cell A2 will display the error "#NAME?" but you will be able to extract the correct records.
