Excel: Selecting Parent Directory with the DIRECTORY Command

SUMMARY

To select the parent directory of the current directory from within a Microsoft Excel macro, use the command DIRECTORY("::"). The command sets the current directory to be the parent directory of the previously current directory.

For example, if the current directory is set to "MacHD:Excel:Files", where "Files" is a folder in the "Excel" folder, which is on the hard drive "MacHD", to change the directory to "MacHD:Excel", use the command:
