SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, to change the font in which your notes are printed, you must change the font that is assigned to the Normal style to the preferred font.

Change the Normal style and print your notes as follows:

Microsoft Excel version 5.0

  1. From the Format menu, choose Style.

  2. Choose the Modify button. Select the Font tab.

  3. Select your desired font, size, and style (bold, italic, underline, or strikeout) and choose OK twice to return to your worksheet.

  4. From the File menu, choose Print. Choose the Page Setup button.

  5. Select the Sheet tab, and under Print, select the Notes check box. Choose OK twice.

Microsoft Excel versions 3.0 and 4.0

  1. From the Format menu, choose Style.

  2. Choose the Define button. Choose the Fonts button.

  3. Select your desired font, size, and style (bold, italic, underline, or strikeout) and choose OK twice to go back to your worksheet.

  4. From the File menu, choose Print and select Notes in the Print box. Choose OK.

MORE INFORMATION

Changes to style options other than the font selection will not be reflected when you print notes. For example, if you set a pattern, select a specific number format, and/or add a border, your printed notes will not reflect these style changes.

Be aware that when you make changes to the Normal style, it may change your cell fonts and size throughout your entire file. It is always beneficial to make a backup copy of the file with which you are working so that no previous formatting can be lost when you change the Normal style.
