ADDRESS Function Incorrect in Excel Documentation

SUMMARY

Page 7 of the "Microsoft Excel Function Reference" shows five examples for the ADDRESS function. The first three examples are correct. However, the last two examples show incorrect return values.

The following five examples contain the correct information:

   ADDRESS(2,3) equals "$C$2"

   ADDRESS(2,3,2) equals "C$2"

   ADDRESS(2,3,2,FALSE) equals "R2C[3]"

   ADDRESS(2,3,2,FALSE,"SHEET1.XLS") equals "SHEET1.XLS!R2C[3]"

   ADDRESS(2,3,2,FALSE,"EXCEL SHEET") equals "'EXCEL SHEET'!R2C[3]"

Note also that the last example uses the name "Excel Sheet" as the name of a worksheet; this name is only valid under OS/2 with HPFS installed.
