Cannot Permanently Change the Paste Arguments Default in Excel

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 2.x, 3.0, 4.0
  • Microsoft Excel for OS/2 versions 2.2, 2.21, and 3.0

By choosing Paste Function from the Formula menu, you have the option to paste the arguments of the chosen function into the selected cell. In Excel 3.0 and 4.0, the Paste Arguments check box is checked by default. In Excel 2.x, the Paste Arguments check box is unchecked by default.

These defaults cannot be changed permanently.

This option is only effective for the current session of Excel and is not spreadsheet dependent.
