SUMMARYPage 263 of the "Microsoft Excel User's Guide" states that you can perform a data series using a multiple selection. This works, but you must have all discontiguous selections within the same column or row.
MORE INFORMATIONThe Data Series command allows you to enter a series of dates or numbers automatically into a range of cells. The series can be entered into a multiple selection when the starting value resides in the first cell of the first discontiguous range. However, the data series will not function if the discontiguous selections are not aligned. If the data series is vertical, all discontiguous selections must be made in the same column. If the data series is horizontal, all discontiguous selections must be made in the same row.
