Summary:

A shareware sound driver called FM.DRV exists for the AdLib sound card. Use of this sound driver within Windows may prevent the entry of ampersands (&) into Microsoft Excel dialog boxes.

More Information:

To change the sound driver back to the original Windows SOUND.DRV, the SOUND.DRV= line in the SYSTEM.INI file must be changed to read:

   SOUND.DRV=SOUND.DRV
