Excel: Changing Button Colors, Styles Created with Button TextLast reviewed: November 4, 1994Article ID: Q80110 |
SUMMARYPage 72 of the "Microsoft Excel User's Guide" for version 3.0, incorrectly states:
You can add colors and styles to the button with the Format Patterns command...When a button is drawn on a worksheet, the Patterns command located in the Format menu is not available (dimmed).
MORE INFORMATIONThe color and style of the button's text can be changed by using the Format Font command. The only way the appearance of a button can be changed in Excel for Windows is to include the ButtonFace=, ButtonText=, or the ButtonShadow= lines in the Colors section of the WIN.INI file. However, this will change the appearance of all buttons in Windows and Excel.
