The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows version 4.0
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh version 4.0

When you attempt to save an unsaved document bound in an unsaved workbook by choosing Save from the File menu, the Save As dialog box for workbooks will be displayed. The workbook will then be saved using the name you enter.

To individually save a bound document, activate the document in the workbook and choose Save As from the File menu instead of Save. This will bring up the Bound Save As dialog box in which you should enter a filename and choose OK.
