Excel: 3D Toolbars Not Available on 12-inch Monitors

Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 4.0

In version 4.0 of Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, the toolbars do not have a 3D effect when you are using a 12-inch monitor or smaller. The standard 3D tool bar in version 4.0 is wider than a non-3-D tool bar. This wider toolbar does not fit on a 12-inch monitor, and, therefore it is not implemented on the screen.

NOTE: Changing the monitor colors or removing buttons does not display toolbars with the 3D effect.
