The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, version 4.0

Summary:

Saving a Microsoft Excel 3.0 document that contains publishers as an Excel 4.0 document causes the publishers to lose all formatting information. Only the TEXT information will be published after saving the document in Excel 4.0.

To correct this problem:

  1. Open the document into Excel 4.0.

  2. From the File menu, choose Links.

  3. From the Links menu, select Publishers.

  4. Select the first item in the list.

  5. Choose Options.

  6. Select Edition Contents.

  7. Select all formats to be published, choose the OK button, then choose the OK button again.

  8. Repeat steps 4-7 for each item in the list.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information as it becomes available.
