SUMMARYIn Microsoft Excel, the WORKSPACE() function can be used to hide all currently active toolbars, but the only toolbar that it can be used to display is the Standard toolbar.
MORE INFORMATIONSetting the tools argument of the WORKSPACE() function to FALSE causes Microsoft Excel to hide all visible toolbars when the function is called. Setting this argument to TRUE causes Microsoft Excel to display the Standard toolbar only. To hide or display a specific toolbar, use the SHOW.TOOLBAR() function.
ExampleTo hide all visible toolbars, use the following function:
=WORKSPACE(,,,,,,,,,,FALSE)To display the Standard toolbar only, use the following function:
=WORKSPACE(,,,,,,,,,,TRUE)To hide a specific toolbar, use the following function:
=SHOW.TOOLBAR(<bar_id>,FALSE,<dock>)To display a specific toolbar (including the Standard toolbar), use the following function
=SHOW.TOOLBAR(<bar_id>,TRUE,<dock>)where <bar_id> is the number or name of the toolbar you want to display and <dock> indicates the position you want the toolbar to be displayed in. The argument <dock> corresponds to the docking position of the Microsoft Excel toolbars (that is, left, right, top, bottom or floating).
