SUMMARYIn Microsoft Excel, if a custom dialog box contains a list box that precedes a linked list box, if you select an item in the linked list box and then close the dialog box, the selected item may not be highlighted when you reopen the dialog box. This problem is a display problem and does not affect the information returned by the linked list box; the selected item text appears in the text box of the linked list box and the initial/result column in the dialog box definition table contains the correct item number and item text.
MORE INFORMATIONThe selected items are not highlighted under the following conditions:
WorkaroundTo work around this problem, change the order of the list boxes within your dialog definition table: move the information for the list box (item 15) to any position below the information for the linked list box (item 16) in your dialog box definition table. Note: The linked list box is preceded by a text box (item 6). Be sure not to separate the linked list box from its text box.
